Anmore is a municipality in the Metro Vancouver Regional District of British Columbia, Canada. The municipality has a population of 2356 and an area of 27.53 Km². This small village has a sweet story behind it's name. The founder, F.J Lancaster, named the town after his wife and daughter. Combining the two names, Annie and Leonore, it create Annore. Visitors and locals of Anmore ,often hang out at Buntzen Lake which is managed by BC Hydro. Besides it's two beautiful beaches, the lake features hiking and biking trail networks. Swan Falls viewpoint and Indian Arm Provincial Parks are must sees. A well known news paper editor and columnist, "Ma" Murray, made Anmore her home for decades, eventually donating her corner lot-home to the village has a heritage site. Anmore is a small costal community with deep roots firm in practicing inclusivity, volunteering, having active residents and keeping things close to nature.
