Granisle is a beautiful municipality located in the Bulkley-Nechako Regional District of British Columbia. Through radiocarbon dating it is believed the animal died the area 34,000 years ago. Replicas and information about the mammoth can be found at the Granisle Museum. Fisherman plant them selves on Babine Lake in hopes of catching beautiful rainbow trout and Char. Sockeye salmon return to the waters to spawn from late summer to early fall.
