The Municipality of Houston is located in the Bulkley-Nechako region of British Columbia. With a population of 3052, and the municipality covers an area of 72.88 square kilometers and is home to a variety of businesses and amenities. The "steelhead capital" and home to worlds largest fly fishing rod is a forestry, mining and tourism town. Before Reverend Adrien-Gabriel Morice known as "Father Morice" explored the area in 1880, the area was inhabited by the Wet-zuhn-kwa nation.
