Invermere is a charming municipality located in the East Kootenay region of British Columbia. With a population of just over 3,900, Invermere is the perfect size for those looking for a tight-knit community feel. The municipality covers an area of 10.75 square kilometers and is home to many beautiful parks and lakes. Lake Windermere Whiteway has the longest skating path in the world! Recorded at 34Km, the Guinness Book of World Record visited the town in 2014. Hire professional guides to take you deep into the Alpine of the Kootenay mountains to where the glaciers are crystal clear. After a long day of hiking, biking, skiing or just a long day in general, relax in one of the area's natural hot springs. Radium, Fairmount or Lussier. Downtown you will find gourmet restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries , ethnic cuisines and good old homemade, comfort food. Despite a small population, Invermere has a lot to offer it's residences and guests!
