Keremeos is a great place to enjoy some of the best fruit in the province, as the area is well known for its fruit farms and orchards. The warm dry climate provides a longer growing season than other parts of the province. The community has a great little recreation centre that features a bowling alley, fitness room, squash and racquetball court, indoor climbing wall and an outdoor ice rink. Seperate to the recreation centre, Keremeos has an outdoor community pool that operates in the summer months and many kids take swimming lessons as well as enjoy public swim.
