Nestled in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, Lake Country is a beautiful municipality that offers stunning scenery, world-class amenities, and a vibrant community. Lake Country is made up of four different areas that were amalgamated in 1995 but they remain with separate wards within it. The four wards are, Winfield, Okanagan Centre, Oyama and Carr’s Landing. A ward is an area of a municipality that is subdivided into precincts for polling purposes. Being in-between Kelowna and Vernon and being a smaller town, Lake Country is becoming a more desirable place to be. The area is home to many orchards and wineries. Browse the fresh produce at the local farmers market, hike the popular Spion Kop trails, and boat on one of the three lakes. In September visit Lake Country for it annual artisan walk featuring over 300+ artists. The town has all the recreation amenities you could hope for like a hockey arena, soccer fields, baseball fields, swimming pool and more. Located in Lake Country is a popular farm and rescue facility, The Kangaroo farm. A farm that takes in Kangaroos and Wallabies and lets them live out their lives while being spoiled and fed treats by the public. You just ever know what you’ll find in Lake Country!
