Langley is a municipality in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. The population is 132603 and the area is 307.22 Km². The city lies directly eat of Surrey and adjacent to Cloverdale. Originally founded in 1911 and known as the "Innes Corners" but has been the Langley Township since 1883. Downtown Langley often referred to as, "the one way", gives residences a sense of town instead of city. A one way traffic lane, restaurants and shops line both sides on the street, dogs being walked, green trees and smiling faces, this is the essence of downtown. There are over 17 public parks in the city and range from neighborhood playgrounds to large scale parks with walking trails, wildlife and sporting fields. Langley Spirit Square has an outdoor covered performance area where the city is entertained by live music and performing arts theatre. Langley has several bus routes, trains from across the country and the Sky Train has plans to connect the city by 2028. The city has three large recreation facilities that host fitness classes, weight rooms, community games, indoor track and seasonal aquatics. Kids benefit from all the sports teams you can imagine, adults too. Dance clubs, gymnastic clubs - you name it Langley has it!
