The Area of Lytton has been the heart for a lot of First Nations for a long time. It is one of the longest inhabited areas of British Columbia. Located at the confluence of two rivers , The Fraser and the Thompson, it was a popular stop or meeting point on many long travels. Back in the late 1800s, after European settlers made their way to the area, the village was part of the Fraser Canyon Gold Rush Route. Lytton holds the highest temperature ever recorded in Canada.
