Nelson is a beautiful municipality located in the Central Kootenay region of British Columbia. With a population of 11106, it's a great place to call home. The area is 11,.93 Km² and there is plenty to do. Twenty-three Regional Parks and three regional Trails. A popular place to bike in the summer is the Great Northern Rail Trail. A former trail used by CPR Rail right-of-way spanning from Salmo to Nelson. Nelson is known for it's epic mountain adventures and Baldface Lodge provides just that. Just over a 3 hour drive gets you to a back country lodge, giving you a cat-skiing adventure of a lifetime. Mountain biking films often show steep grades, rooty terrain, big drops and big hype - and all that happens right in Nelson. Within a 15 min drive from town, endless bike trails wait for you. After your fun adventure, head to Baker St for some delicious local food, beer and ciders.
