North Vancouver is located in Metro Vancouver and is part of the province of British Columbia. The population is 88168 and the area is 160.66 Km². North Vancouver is considered a suburb of Vancouver even though it has it's own industries and services. Separated from downtown Vancouver by the Burard inlet, you can take the Seabus or drive over the Lions Gate Bridge or the Ironworkers Memorial Second narrows Crossing if you're going back and forth. North Vancouver is considered to be more urban then downtown Vancouver with mountains, rivers, and lots of forested areas. Getting outside and exploring is right at your fingertips in the North Shore with many hiking and mountain biking trails available in the summer. Probably the most famous is the Grouse Grind - a 2.5 km trail up the face of Grouse Mountain, then take the gondola on the way down and enjoy the sites. Walk 50 ft. in the air on the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, from there there are many hiking trails available in Lynn Canyon that lead to beautiful waterfalls and even a natural swimming hole. Mountain Biking on the North Shore has a reputation for being hard and technical and for good reasons. The wet fauna of the west coast makes climbing over roots and down rocky terrain even scarier. After a day of fun adventure you will want to refuel with delicious food. North Vancouver has everything from fine dining, local artisan creations, street food and all kinds of ethnic cuisines. Gather with friends at the Lonsdale Quay, right on the water. This is also where you can catch the Seabus into downtown Vancouver. Enjoy everything North Vancouver has to offer!
