Pemberton

Pemberton is a thriving municipality located in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District of British Columbia. With a population of 3407, Pemberton is a great place to live, work and raise a family. The municipality covers 61.36 square kilometers and is home to a variety of businesses, amenities and recreation opportunities. The area was inhabited by the Lil'Wat First Nations where hunting and fishing were plentiful. Located close to Birkenhead River and Lillooet River, with gigantic mountains towering above, Pemberton is a beautiful and rugged area of British Columbia. Considered a four season recreation village, you can find many fun and adventurous activities to keep you busy. From late June to early October, you can shop local produce and good at the Farmer's Market. Joffre Lake Provincial Park is a popular overnight hiking trail that brings in hiking enthusiast from all over British Columbia. This definitely isn't the only hiking trail, Pemberton has so many great ones to explore. Specific to the area and different than other towns, you can pay for a guided horseback tour through lush forested, mountain trails. Book a rafting tour through some wicked white water rapids, it will leave you wet but happy. Pemberton is a fun town with lots to offer!
