Revelstoke is a municipality in the Columbia Shuswap regional district of British Columbia. The population is 8275 and the area is 41.28 km². The municipality is located in the Selkirk Mountains on the Columbia River. Revelstoke is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. Revelstoke was a town founded by the railway and blue collar work. Just west of Revelstoke, is the location of the last spike driven into the ground to complete the Canadian Pacific Railway track, connecting the country from coast to coast in 1885.
