Chilliwack is a vibrant city located in the Fraser Valley region of British Columbia with a population of 93,203. The city is situated on 261.34 square kilometers of land and is a great place to live, work and raise a family. There are plenty of amenities and activities to enjoy in Chilliwack and the surrounding area, making it a great place to call home. Before Europeans settled on the land there was over 40,000 aboriginal people living on the Sto:lo Territory. During the Gold Rush era, farms started being established and the main mode of transportation was steamboats. Chilliwack was the third incorporated town in British Columbia. The city then started growing southwards. The soil and climate in Chilliwack make for great agriculture resources. Many very large-scale diary and poultry farms are found in the area. Along with corn, berries, wheat and flower farms. Chilliwack is one of the fastest growing cities in British Columbia and for great reason. Beautiful parks, sports fields, community centres, malls, cultural arts centres and more have been built to service it's population. 30 minutes south of Chilliwack lies Cultus Lake. A small little community of its own with 1,500 full time residences. This is a summer getaway oasis. Rent a lake front home, stay at Sunnyside campground and definitely visit Cultus Lake Waterpark and Adventure Park for lasting family fun!
