Port McNeill is a beautiful municipality located in Mount Waddington Regional District, British Columbia. With a population of 2356 and an area of 13.77 km², Port McNeill is the perfect place to call home. With plenty of things to do and see, you'll never be bored in this picturesque town. Port McNeill was originally set up at a base camp for loggers. Incorporated in 1936, the town acts a hub for all of North Vancouver Island, with the Tri-port BC Ferries terminal. Only a few minutes away is Telegraph Cove, a historic boardwalk fishing village that is very well known for it's whale watching tours. This ocean town is home to the worlds largest burl, discovered by MacMillian Bloedel and now resides next to the towns museum. Port McNeil has two elementary schools and one secondary school.
