Victoria is a beautiful municipality located in the Capital Regional District of British Columbia. With a population of 91867, it is the perfect size for those who want to experience all that a city has to offer without feeling overwhelmed. And with an area of only 19.45 km², it is also small enough to explore on foot or by bike. There are plenty of things to do in Victoria, from visiting the historic Empress Hotel to exploring the many museums and art galleries. Our provinces capital is a very desirable place to call home with very mild winters and hot summers and lots of recreation enjoyed by residents. Victoria is known as the cycling capital of Canada and has many bike lanes, routes and trails available for riders of all abilities. Victoria has a major airport, making international travel easy and convenient for jetsetters. The BC Ferries system services the island by water and has many ports available for crossing from the mainland. Students benefit from having a major university in the city, The University of Victoria (UVIC), which is located in the Saanich District. Along with a thriving economy, Victoria also has a very diverse and inclusive arts and culture scene.
